Greetings:

Just a note to let everyone know that James is off to Kenya for 3 weeks. (Which is very funny because the owner of this Forum just returned from Kenya a couple of weeks ago.) :)

Ha ha, but the owner of the Forum was above water (hopefully) and at some stage in the air :-) Most of my time (hopefully) will be under water :-) Pity I never read the web page at the beginning of the year or may have altered my dates to coincide :-)

This came from AvWeb a few days ago. Wonder if James will have trouble getting home.

KENYAN CONTROLLERS UPDATE: Last week, striking air traffic controllers in Kenya were fired ... and tear-gassed while holding an outdoor meeting/rally. Some were arrested, and this week others were forced to vacate their government-provided housing. Kenya's director of Civil Aviation said this week the controllers would be given a fair hearing. It seems the controllers are now saying they never expected it to come to this and would just like their jobs back. In the meanwhile, recalled retirees and managers are staffing the system.

LOL, probably like the news of earthquakes here--from what you see on TV, you'd think the whole west coast lays in ruin after an earthquake here! :)

Gee's, no kidding? Never seen a TV or heard a radio news bullitin since I left and been back a couple of day's and still haven't heard/seen any news. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do.
