Anyone have any experience with a Zlin 526F (or similar)? My CFI/partner in our C150H is looking at one and if the inspection goes well is going to buy it.

Then I will be able to do some training in it next summer.

One of my friends had a 326, similar but earlier design. I liked it. The 526 was on my own shopping list but I bought a Decathlon. Australia is a long way from Zlin spare parts but there are quite a few examples in the USA. Some have Lycoming engines which I would prefer.

There was an article on Zlins in Sport Aerobatics magazine earlier this year. If you can't get a copy let me know and I'll scan it and email it to you.

I suggest that you contact an existing owner of a 526 for advice. eg the author of that SA article - Dave Hirschman.
