Greetings:

I saw that SpeedTV is replaying their Oshkosh Fly-In AirVenture 2002 show this weekend Fri, Sep 6 8pm, 1am, and Sat, Sep 21 1am (Eastern times). Has anyone seen this show? I've heard that Patty was interviewed on one of these shows. Anyone know if this is the one?

I saw the Oshkosh show on Speed. Actually, they had two shows: a half-hour teaser during Oshkosh (in mid-week), and the (I think) two hour program after AirVenture was finished.

I've been doing a lot of wailing and teeth-gnashing since Speed was taken over. Back when it was SpeedVision, they used to have a decent amount of good aviation programming- Civil Air, AirShow, Sport Aviation, Bush Pilot, and more. Now the only aviation coverage we get is this annual Oshkosh wrap-up. So beggars can't be choosers when it comes to aviation coverage on Speed. That said, I liked the program, except for one thing. The sound mix was so horribly terribly crappy that I couldn't hear the narration! It was almost completely drowned out by the "background" music.

I'm embarrassed and humiliated to say that I can't remember whether there was a Patty Wagstaff interview during the program (sorry, Patty)! If they did interview her, I'm pretty sure she was unintelligible, due to the aforementioned bad sound mix. Besides, her CNN interview was probably better anyway!

OK, I guess we'll just have to watch it and see if she's there.

Thanks for the warning. Maybe I'll tape it and fast forward to the parts that I want to see.

OK, I watched the first replay last night and it does have a 5 minute segment on Patty in it. I don't think it's the one that Tom saw because the sound was pretty good.

time)
