As Patty is about to embark on what is becoming a yearly adventure down under, lets all wish her a great trip and safe return. If they do not do a new one; perhaps Animal Planet may someday repeat the special they did before on the efforts she and Dale "Snort" Snodgrass do to give advanced training to the patrol pilots in Kenya.
Gee, maybe if I became an african bush pilot I could get some one-on-one training from Patty and Dale.....
Patty, we will be expecting some great pictures and stories upon your return!!!!!

Hi everyoneThanks for the "bon voyage." I am leaving tomorrow morning for Miami where I'll pick up my flight to London. Then, it's a day in London and on to Nairobi that evening. It takes two days to get to Kenya!
Flying into Kenya early in the morning is great, because the flight leaves at night, and when you wake up you're over the Sudan or Ethiopia and it's just so amazing to be in that part of the world.
Animal Planet is not doing another special, however, we will continue our work with the KWS and hope that they keep getting support from international animal welfare groups around the world.
The animals they are protecting - elephants and rhino to only name two - are global resources, not just African resources.
The wild things still live in Africa and we have to keep it that way.
