"VPC Flight Room info"

Greetings:

It's come to our attention that the current state of our Flight Room feature is causing some confusion. Here is some information that should help clear a few things up. If you have any specific questions, please let us know.

- First, please remember that we're still in Beta, so things aren't working fully yet.

- The VPC Flight Rooms support *most* every DirectX (or more specifically DirectPlay-compatible) game we've thrown at it. These include FS98, FS2K, FS2K2, CFS, CFS2, Crimson Skies, etc..

- We're currently working with two versions of the "VPC Flight Room"--one is web based (the VPC Flight Lobby), and the other is a stand-alone application called Fly_Now!

- The Fly_Now! application must be downloaded and installed.

- Fly_Now! is the only version that currently supports autolaunched multiplayer flights.

- The VPC Flight Lobby and web Flight Room chat lobby are one in the same. They're only accessed and presented differently.

- Both the VPC Flight Lobby and Fly_Now! have not been integrated into the main VPC database yet. As a result, you'll need to register a username and password there separately.

- Fly_Now! is the only app that we're currently allowing new accounts to be registered through.

- Thus, once you've registered through Fly_Now!, you'll be registered for the VPC Flight Lobby (from where you'll be able to see who's flying online).

Hope this helps and I hope to see you in the virtual skies of the VPC soon!

Ben
