"VPC Server updates"
Posted by Admin on 08-12-03 at 18:59z
We've made a couple of changes to the VPC servers:- We've updated the Persistent World Flight server to DirectX 9.0b in preparation for our upcoming Flight Sim 2004 Flight Rooms. We believe that the multiplayer fixes contained in DX9b may help FS2k2 MP flights as well.
- We've made a couple of configuration changes to our Roger Wilco/VoiceCOM server that should improve sound quality and reduce drop-outs for those that connect with low-speed modems and high-lag broadband.
Enjoy!

Hello,
I did try the new environment with FS2002, these are my findings
1/ no more "Flight Status"?
2/ FSNAV in MP : I cannot "see" myself, I do not receive the usual green data with call sign, heading/altitude.
FSNAV says connectedHave a nice day

I don't have FSNAV, but Flight Status was indeed down. It's been repaired. I think the repair should fix your FSNAV problem too, but you'll need to verify that for us. If it doesn't, do you have DX9b installed?

Thanks for the update, Emile.Just FYI, we've got an Alpha version of our FS2004 launcher working. Won't be long before we have FS2K4 flights in the Flight Terminal.

No problem! The new version of our Persistent World Flight software will allow both FS2002 and FS2004 to fly in the same session.
