"Losing focus to ACARS survey"
Posted by Ben_Chiu on 07-03-02 at 07:47z
Anyone having a problem with ACARS stealing focus from your browser window?Typical symptoms are:
- The loss of key strokes/press while composing messages online
- The inability to scroll through a page while ACARS refreshes in the background
Thanks!
Ben

Lost, as when you receive a message? You probably don't have a Quicktime plugin. Robert, any ideas?

Hello Ben
For your information : from time to time the Acars window does not show the "VPC Crew level Membership" icon next to the name.
I did take a screen shot and did send to your site as I do not know how to upload it to this site
Have a nice day
Regards
Emile

Received your screen shot. What you're seeing happens when you login to the VPC (e.g. you're not autologged in with the cookie) from not being logged in. It's rather complicated to explain the reason why this happens (icons don't show up), but we're working on a totally new version of ACARS that won't have this limitation. Although you may not see changes to the VPC daily, we're constantly working on new code and features in the background. We just try and limit moving these updates to the public areas until we've done internal testing. It's coming!
Thanks!
Ben
