"still having trouble w/ message board"

Ben - Still running into occasional problems accessing the message board. Using three different systems, IE6, IE5.5 sp1 and IE5.5 sp2. Tried with and without popup killers active. *sometimes* when I go from the main page, the notams doesn't come up - when that happens I can do nothing but go back to the main page. Usually I will try deleting the cache, refreshing the page(s) a few times and then the notams will pop up - after that I'm able to access the messageboards.

Since I don't have this problem with any other sites I thought I'd give you a heads up to see where the problem might lie. From my observation it relates directly to the popup windows.

Thanx,

Vic

NOTAMs is user-configurable--you can tell it to automatically appear or not (the little on/off links endable/disable it). However, once it's turned off, you'll only not see it again until we issue a new NOTAM.

Typically, unless you shut IE down and restart it, you don't delete all pages in memory. Does this still occur when you delete your cache files and restart IE?

Can you be more specific which popup window(s) you're having problems with? If all of the windows, I'd suspect that something on your system is causing the main VPC page not to load properly. (Which goes back to the restarting IE suggestion above--after flushing your cache and turning off your popup killer). So far, you're the only one that's reported any problems, and as far as I know, the only one whose reported using popup killers.

FYI, I use WebWasher from Siemens (which kills ads and ad popups) but works perfectly here. You can get it at www.webwasher.com. It could be that your popup killer is too agressive/non-discriminating.

Hope this helps!
Ben
