Navigational fix Gaza VOR (GZA) provided since Metzada VOR (MZD) is located beyond a ridge which might obstruct the signal in the real world.
The 5,000 to 5,500 ft altitude is required to clear a ridge near CI30. The 3,500 ft. altitude will be adequate for the remainder of the MZD to TALMI leg.
