Boy that was one steep climb!

The height of Kilimanjaro is very deceiving due to its very wide base. My little 172 ran out of breath (not to mention fuel) trying to climb it after a touch and go at the destination airport. Did anyone make it over the top?

Ben

I didn't with the C172. I switched to a Beech Kingair after my touch and go. The Kingair reached the peak, at aproximately 19,500 ft, without difficulty. Picture available uf you want.

G,day guys,
I tried it (before flight but not in multiplayer) in the C152.. had to take a very long way round + ran out of fuel.
Tried it in the Chipmonk with similar results :(
Good one Robert,
Regards,
Andy

Are you ready for a flight useing something with a bit more horsepower? I'm considering a southern Peru flight for October 3. You will definately need suplemental oxygen or a pressurized cabin. This might be an opportunity to try that Kingair or P-38 again. Took me 55 minutes with a DC-3 but only 30 with the Kingair!
