Ah, I see. I was a bit confused. You see, there's a product line by Microsoft that's called "Combat Flight Simulator", so I assumed that you were asking about new aircraft (e.g. new version) of that particular game.
What it sounds like is you're looking for a sim that models modern aircraft. Unfortunately, the flight sim genre as a whole has experienced a big shakeout over the last 3 years or so and not as many combat sim titles have been produced. While there are some new modern combat flight sims on the burner, there really haven't been many released lately, so all that's out there are a bit older.
The usual recommendations are Falcon 4 (a bit old now, but mod'ers have been keeping it alive with new code). F4 is very complicated. Jane's F/A-18 is another good sim. If you're just looking to shoot down airplanes (meaning, not spend seeks reading a learning the manual) I'd recommend Janes USAF. It's a lot of fun.
This is by no means a list of all of what's out there. I haven't written for any computer games magazine for quite some time, so I've lost track of what's hot and not.
