OK, it looks like you want BAH VOR. (OBBI is the ILS--note the letter I in the identifier).
Your request for 15R is on file. But just FYI, 15R only has a VOR approach. Most folks flying IFR will probably be utilizing an ILS into 15L, 33L or 33R.

Hi Ben and others,>This flight will take place on Sunday 15th June 2003

>virtual burger and beer afterwards.
what's going on here? It is now around 20:20 Zulu (22:20 my time) and I have been waiting in an empty chatroom for 20 minutes. Nobody out there? Problems with the time zone handling?
Ben, you are listed in the Terminal chatroom (instead of Pilot Lounge) and do not react too. Is this normal?
I have tried to connect to FS multiplayer as well, but found no one in the session. Furthermore I got kicked out after a minute for an unknown reason. This behaviour seems to be reproducible for me.
For the records: I did a flight from Riad, Saudi Arabia, King Khaled Airport to Kuwait in the standard Boeing 737-400. Had lots of trouble with the autopilot because after departure when it got activated it didn't work well and the same happened when landing. Although it was turned off according to the switched, I was unable to reduce power, something always brought the power on again with the effect of me overshooting the runway and landing in the desert. After a restart the second attempt worked out ok.

Guido

Hi Guido,
I did fly from OMAA to Kuwait in a Airbus 320 , online VPC Flight 1 during 90 minutes with FSNav multiplayer, Ben did assist me as Flight Controller , I did land around 19:30 GMT and I did fly around (touch & go) Kuwait in a Baron to improve my landing capacities (till 20:30?) still with the assistance of Ben for the beginning.
Yes Ben ! I know turn RIGHT means turn RIGHT !! LOLIn fact the FS chat window is not easy , each time you receive a message you have to roll down to the bottom to read the message , I hope CoF will improve this.
BTW Ben, will VPC support CoF for network flights?
Have a nice day

I am sorry, but I logged into the first and only flight
offered, was connected for a short time, then the host
kicked me out. I have taken a picture to prove this. It was
around 20:16z (22:16 local), a time you were still flying
(as you said). However, in the FS Chat Window there were
only entries for "**ATC Control", "*FSHost2.3" and "Guido"
(myself). No one else, no Ben, no Emile.
My I kindly ask the two of you to join the normal Chat
session the next time as it was announced on the message
board? Otherwise I am going to end up alone - having no fun.
Regards,
Guido

Got your email and screen shot. FSHost will boot you out for a number of reasons. The most common are: connection/lag time being too poor, incompabilities in some instances when users are using DX9, duplicate usernames (FSNAV, etc.). You can read up more on FSHost at: http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/

thanks for the info. If you don't have information in your logs, I suppose that FSHost doesn't like the DirectX-8 I am using.
I have not upgraded to DirectX-9 because I remembered that at the time FS2002 appeared, there were some problems with it. Do you know whether these issues are solved?
Is it possible to downgrade from DirectX-9 to DirectX-8 when it doesn't work? Such upgrade are always dangerous; my graphics card is so old, that there is no longer any driver support for newer versions of DirectX.

Guido

According to the author is FSHost, there are some multiplayer bugs in DX8x which have been corrected in DX9.

DX9a seems to be stable. Then again, DX7 seemed stable to me too!
The only reason why I updated to DX9 was to run FS2k4 (it was required and would not install without it).
> Is it possible to downgrade from DirectX-9 to DirectX-8 when it doesn't

Yes, but the amount of hassle involved depends on which OS you're using. If you're using XP, it *should* just be a matter of setting a restore point. If you're using Win9x, there have been in the past a number of manual DX removal tutorials on the net. I'd suspect they'd have one for DX9 already.

Agreed.

Greetings Emile:> Yes Ben ! I know turn RIGHT means turn RIGHT !! LOL
LOL, rgr! It may seem like it shouldn't make a difference, but the direction you're told to turn changes the amount of spacing available between fixes, radials, and obstacles(!). For example, in your case, turning left would have put you too close to the outter marker of the ILS to make a comfortable intercept.

There's a little util called FSChat Scroll that will fix that for FS2k2. Ideally, we need to get RW to work for you better. It may just be your connection, but checking your settings would help. You might try seeing if changing the Internet Connection Speed setting in RW to Fast Modem and uncheck Use less CPU and check Run Roger Wilco at High CPU priority might help. You come through, but very garbled at present.
> BTW Ben, will VPC support CoF for network flights?
We haven't been able to make multiplayer work in CoF yet. But that may be a limitation of the Beta.

OK I did find the util and I did change the settings of RW as you suggest it. I will try both next time I fly online.
BTW there is a new version of RW V1.4.1.2 , I receive this popup each time I start RWRegards

Just FYI, our recommended version of RW is Mk1c (available from our file download area). This was the last version before RW became spyware. You might want to remove the version you have and download a spyware killer like spybot to get rid of any spyware that's left over on your system, then install Mk1c.
Let us know if you have any questions.

I don't know what was happening at that time. It was Father's Day here in the US and my kids took me out to lunch.

I left ATC Radar Screen running, but wasn't here watching it. The "normal" procedure is to meet in the Pilot Lounge.
