Hi Vic:
For the sake of realism, let's file flight plans like you do in the real world e.g. file a route and you'll either receive your your your your filed route or it'll be amended as necessary by ATC when you receive your clearance.
For example from KONT to KSBP:
ID: vgbaron
Type: B757 /G
TAS: 300KTS
Dept. KONT
Alt: 20,000
Route: POM6.GMN-->MQO
Dest. KSBP
Time enroute: 35 minutes
Remarks: Request visual approach into SBP
