"Multiplayer Chat box"

Hi guys,

I was having some FS2002 multiplayer session with a colleague recently.
When talking to each other, it seemed that when I got a message from
him, it was put into the chat window but so that I could not read it
immediately. The thing just did not scroll down automatically , so that
I had to do the scrolling manually with the mouse every time.

My colleague said he was getting my messages in ATIS style scrolling on
top of screen and that his chat window closed after hitting the "Send"
button (he has the German version of FS2002, I have the US one).

What are your experiences with this window?

The backwards scrolling chat window is a bug in FS2K2. There's a program called FSChatScroll that will "fix" the problem. Have a look at: http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fschatscroll/

If you have the chat window closed, received messages will scroll across the screen.

thanks for your help, this program just comes in handy.
I will try it shortly.

It's a pity that Microsoft doesn't fix these annoying bugs,
for the 80 EUR I spent on FS2002 I had expected at least one
bugfix to deal with that simple things.
