Hi Gang,Just a quick note to let y'all know that Bill Cline has had his colon cancer surgery, and the docs think they got it all before it spread! He's got a bit of recovery time due to the nature of the surgery, but he wanted everyone to know that he'll be back with us here soon.
Just thought I'd pass on the good news!
Hehe, the subject sounds like a high school football cheer <g>.

Making fun of a sick person is not nice. <g>Thanks, guys for the kind words. I'm feeling much better, though still a bit rocky. I went off the pain meds today and feel it!
Once I get that next rooter roter job on my clogged heart arteries, I should be raring to go.
BTW, has anyone here any experience with the eDimensional 3D equipment? The reviews I've read are all raving about it, for sims such as FS2002, IL2, and even Train Sim.
Again, thanks for everyone's kind thoughts and prayers. I'm positive my angel was listening.

Of course I'm kidding. Just don't tell me any uproariously funny jokes. I hate holding my incision together when I laugh. Bad enough when I sneeze.

Hi Bill,Pleased to hear everything went well, here's to a speedy recovery.
The eDimentional glasses.
I have read quite a bit about these as at one time I considered purchasing.
From the avsim forums there are mixed experiences, most are happy with the effect but say they cannot get on with the glasses.
The two negatives that came out of all posts are that frame rates take a hit, not surprising when you consider that the graphics card has to draw two pictures each frame so to speak.
The other negative was that you need a monitor and graphics card that supports a high refresh rate, someone quoted around 100Hz plus!
I took the cheap way and got some anaglyph glasses (red/cyan) to try the effect which is quite amazing but I found some limitations.
I guess if you set up FS to keep good frame rates then the 3D effect for VFR or 'Bush flying' would be worthwhile.
One drawback I found was that airport buildings in my add-on airports do not have a 3D effect but this may only be in anaglyph and may not be so with the eDimentional system.
With the glasses off you can clearly see the red/cyan images of all the scenery except for the add-on airports; others have commented but no one has come up with a reason why.
Hope this helps, and for more information do a search on the 'Hanger Chat' & 'FS General' forums at avsim but you will have to go to the archive messages, it is a while since the posts were made.
