Since Microsoft hasn't even announced the next version of Flight Simulator yet, we don't even know if the next version will be called Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. If they continue the alternate year releases, maybe fall 2003, but it is VERY early to be speculating about it.

Historically, FS has been released around the end of October the year prior to the title (so it's in the stores for Christmas). So 2004 should be out in October 2003.

Sorry. You asked about FS2004. That will be out in the fall of 2003. There is no FS2003. You have more than a year to wait for the next version of FS (not counting the combat version).

Again, if history is an indication of the future, the planes to be included in FS2K4 have not been not be finalized yet. It's just way too early for that. However, you can pretty much count on most, if not all, of the current planes appearing again. I don't have any clue to what additional new planes (if any) might come in the next version.

If you want to keep up on this stuff, bookmark the Flight Simulator Inside site
