I have loaded both sims seperately and in both, when in normal flying mode, I get the rear cockpit view, even after resetting the view to forward, it seems to default back to rear view.
Any ideas?

Are you using a controller with view set to one of the hats/devices? Try disabling the controller (I believe it's the "K" key) and see if the problem doesn't go away. If it does, your hat/controller may need to be calibrated. If that's not the problem, one solution is to assign the hat/controller neutral position to the direction of view desired.
