Guido_Ostkamp Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: "Flight and weather log template" 03-04-03, 21:27z  Hi guys, another thing: I often use ATC through RadarContact and have to record the stuff (that means ATIS and commands) for later use in my reports to the virtual airline. Also I would like to include the flight schedule, e.g. airports on the route, times, navaids etc. Do you know any wordprocessor templates for this task? I thought it would be nice to have some fields or checkboxes for regular stuff like clouds at XXX scattered / overcast / thunderstorm, visibility, temperature, winds etc. - you get the idea. L1049H Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: 1. "RE: Flight and weather log template" 03-05-03, 01:44z  Last question first - I used a small kneeboard and a pad and wrote my clearances, etc. on it. Doesn't have to be fancy. When I started I used the FAA flight plan forms but you can make your own, just make some colums for waypoint, heading, ETE, ETA, ATE, ATA. DylanK Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: 3. "RE: Flight and weather log template" 03-06-03, 20:33z  Hey Guido, In real life pilots plan out there flight plans before flight. These include a genralized route with landmarks,nav aids along with time and distances and communication frequencies. There's a few commercial Flight Plan forms out there, but I use Ben Chiu's flight plan sheets which work excellent. You'd have to ask him to send it to you, might be copyrighted but you can email him at ben@flightadventures.com In flight pilots usually tune atis on a seperate radio about 20 miles from the destination, through multitasking and listening to the recording a few times they write down the inforamtion so its ready later.
